Dr. V.C. Jacob
Physiotherapist

Dr V C Jacob is a BSC graduate in Chemistry and holds a Diploma in Physiotherapy from KEM Hospital (1963).
He also completed a course in Rehabilitation from AIIPMR, Mumbai in 1963. He served as a physiotherapist in
LTMG (Sion Hospital) from 1964 till he retired 35 years later. His special field of interest throughout
his career has been spinal cord injury rehabilitation. He was in the Executive Committee of Paraplegic Foundation,
Sion from 1968 to 2006. He was the prime driver for introducing paraplegic sports in the Paraplegic Foundation
at National, Maharashtra and Bombay level.
He was in the Executive Committee of IAP - Indian Association of Physiotherapists for a number of years and
served as President of IAP from 2002-2004. He was the official physiotherapist for the Indian Cricket team
tour to Pakistan in 1978.
